Hemfödsel.se
Home birth is, unfortunately, a charged subject in Sweden, where the conversation is often driven more by feelings and assumptions than by scientific evidence and care for parents and babies. Hemfödsel.se was created by parents, for parents — a place for information, stories and support for those considering a home birth or wanting to understand the subject better. Malin is the initiator of the project and wrote all of the scientific, evidence-based content for the platform.

I had the honor of designing and building Hemfödsel.se. The challenge was to take Malin's deeply researched, academic content and present it in a way that feels professional, clear and easy to access — and at the same time deeply inviting.
I was responsible for the visual design, art direction and all technical development. The site is structured into clear, readable chapters, with a section for birth stories from mothers, fathers and partners, as well as contact forms that help people reach midwives.
We landed on a visual direction that feels grounded and informative — warm without being soft, clear without being clinical. Stories, parental support and practical knowledge sit side by side in an editorial calm where each page is given room to breathe. As a doula, I am incredibly proud to have contributed to this beautiful and important project.
