Curly Doula
Opokua is a research nurse and a certified doula who has supported birthing families for a very long time, making her a true pioneer within the Swedish doula community. Her website focuses entirely on her work as a doula, where she also runs training programs for those wanting to become HypnoDoulas and Postpartum Doulas. Together with her sister Asabea, she co-authored the book Föda: en handbok i mentala och fysiska förberedelser, and alongside Maria Boda, she wrote Det nya livet: en hyllning till dig som fött — traditioner, omsorg och gemenskap. In my eyes, Opokua is a total style icon and an amazing human being, and it was a true pleasure to support her practice by working on her website.

Opokua came to me because she was using Wix, which she found cumbersome and difficult when trying to update her content. She wanted to be able to easily add new courses, manage her offers, ensure her contact forms functioned properly, and integrate a blog.
My role in this project was strictly web development; I did not alter her existing design, layouts, or imagery. To solve her technical challenges and give her complete administrative freedom, I rebuilt the website using Lovable. I implemented a custom blog function paired with a clean, user-friendly admin interface. Now, she can easily log in to publish articles and update her courses without any technical friction. The project focused entirely on simplicity and user experience, and Opokua was incredibly happy with the final result.
